Balls Bluff Cemetery

Search for in

The Ball's Bluff Cemetery is located on top of a hill 1/4 mile south east of the Lee Womble house, which is along route 54 north east of Atlas. The cemetery has long been abandoned. Stock is allowed to roam at will, so this list is very incomplete. A fenced portion of this cemetery containing Marions and/or Mooney's is often confused with the Mooney-Marion Cemetery lower on the hillside on the same hill and near route 54.

Per Dorothy Sapp on May 31, 2008: This cemetery is being redone have a new road went to court and have the right to go and take care of it we will fence it and are getting some stones repaired.

Atlas Township covers two township divisions. On the map it can be found at T6S R6W and T6S R5W. Villages, towns and cities found within Atlas township include Pike Station, Rockport, Summer Hill, Atlas and Horton (Horton's Station).
