Bader Family History

William A. Bader, born June 5, 1829, in Muehlhausen, Thuringia, came to Quincy in 1847, and in 1850 married Wilhelmina Knorr.
She died in 1854, and in 1855 he married Dorothea Schollmeyer. For fifty-two years William A. Bader conducted a cigar factory in Quincy, and departed this life December 8, 1900. William F. Bader, the son, for many years has been engaged in the cigar business in Quincy, and became prominent in public life, serving on the board of supervisors for a number of years.
