DUNLAP, Kisiah (Kizzie, Kissar, Kizzar) HUGHES John H. looking for information on my great great aunt Kizzar. They had three children (that we know of), William Benjamin Huffman HUGHES, Martha Francis HUGHES and John E. HUGHES. William Benjamin Huffman HUGHES birth certificate shows that he was born in IL. I received information today, showing Kisiah DUNLAP married John H. HUGHES on April 15, 1858 in Pike County, Illinois. Any information greatly appreciated. They all ended up in LeFlore County Oklahoma where they are buried. Martha Francis HUGHES was my great grandmother.

My Hughes' were only in Pike briefly 1854-56, but it was a large extended family. James Eagleson Hughes brought his family here because his aunt Elizabeth Twiford had moved here with her first husband, William Marion Shanton. James had been apprenticed to his uncle, James Dunlap, as a hatter. This was in Plumstead twp, Bucks, PA, probably ca. 1820. James had an uncle John Hines Hughes who lived in Ohio; I don't yet have chidren for him, but yours could be. Kisiah can also be spelled Keziah.
